Doggie Dash was meant to be a one-time event. After last year’s success, the demand has been so high that you haven’t really given us a choice. Few races allow you the opportunity to run with your dog - probably because the insurance binder nearly triples when you breath the word “canine”.
There will be water stops for the dogs along the course, and plenty of dog treats to reward our furry friends at the finish line. Industry vendors who have sponsored the race will be present with giveaways and dog paraphernalia.
Last year, the charity recipient emailed us late one night to tell us the money we raised was used to save a few dogs who were on death row for the following morning. You can’t help but smile when you think about being responsible for giving those dogs a chance at life. To our 2013 Doggie Dash participants, it was your support that saved them – so our applause goes to you. Now, let’s do it again!
A few upgrades this year:
-The race will be timed. Go fast or slow – it’s up to you and your pup. Whatever speed you go, please make sure your dog stays on his/her leash and gets plenty of water!”
-This year the shirts will be for the humans. You will have the option to purchase a Doggie bandana for $5, and we will donate $5 towards the charity recipients (Must be ordered by April 1, 2014).
-The top 3 finishing dogs will receive a prize (a very cool prize, might I add).
Once again, Liam Murphy and the cast from Wicked Pissa Dog Show will be on-sight to meet and take pictures. A professional photographer will be taking pictures of you with your dog. All photos will be posted and available for download.
Our dogs are our loyal companions – let’s show them we love them back by showing them their best day of the year. They get to make new friends; and you get to see the smile on their face.

Registration includes a race shirt for the humans. An optional Doggie bandana is available for purchase of $5. For every bandana purchased, we will donate $5 towards the charity recipients. You must be signed up by April 5, 2014 to be guaranteed a shirt and bandana.

If you have a friend or family member who would be willing to volunteer at the race, you will gain free admission to the race. Volunteers carry out simple tasks, but are necessary to the success of the race. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to sign-up. Volunteers must be signed up by April 1, 2014.
Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you are good to go before signing up. If for some reason you can’t make it to race day, at least come to the bib pickup and get your race shirt if you signed up before the t-shirt deadline. We appreciate your understanding in this predicament.
